Story Telling for Young Learners

In this module, you learn how to use storytelling with young learners. First of all, theoretical aspects of storytelling will be covered so as to give you sense of the importance of stories in children’s lives. Later, you will be familiar with techniques of telling a story and to create stories with children in the process of language learning. By the end of the module, you will have developed a perspective about the uses of story telling in terms of developing sensitivity to various world views and reinforcement of social values through stories. Teacher educators will give you some feedback that will be helpful in effectively using the storytelling In the end, each participant has to take a mini test about the module.
